Take in the sights along the beautiful Colorado River during a three-hour kayak tour with River Dogz. The 5-mile tour, originating just 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, is a nature-lover’s dream. Guests will be transported from their hotel via. shuttle to a world of bighorn sheep, bald eagles, towering canyon walls and clear emerald-green clear water. When all guests have arrived at River Dogz’ Lake Mead National Park launch area in Willow Beach, Ariz., the experienced guides will fit them for life jackets and provide a brief overview regarding paddle use and safety. They will then assist everyone in launching the kayaks. The group will head north along the slow-flowing Colorado River, stopping at the river gauging site 1.5 miles into the tour. There, guests will be able to swim or take a short hike above the river while enjoying amazing views. After the stop, the group will paddle up 1 mile to Emerald Cave. While they relax in the shade of the cave, guests will enjoy a tasty picnic lunch and non-alcoholic beverages at a rocky beach. After lunch, they may swim or even jump off a cliff into the clear, cool water. The group will then head back down the river, marveling at the serenity and abundant wildlife. Following the tour, guests may visit the marina gift shop and use the restroom before leaving in their own vehicles or taking the shuttle back to their hotel.
